On September 1, Holdrege Volleyball team competed in Lexington Tournament at Lexington High school and placed fourth.

In the first game,  the Dusters defeated Hershey  26-24; 13-25; 25-22.

“I think to get the win we never gave up, there were moments that were ugly but we talked, helped each other out, and just meshed together,” said Jenna Karn.

In the winner’s bracket, they lost the next game against Chase County  25-16; 25-16.

“I want us to win. I think we need to work on playing with each other confidently and trusting each other on the court. That is what we need to work on the most which will come with talking and more playing,” said Sierra Schemper.

In the consolation game, the Dusters were defeated by Hastings 25-14, 25-20,  to place fourth overall.

“I want them to play fearless and let the game be fun! Don’t push themselves too hard, be proud of how much they have improved, and play in the moment, point by point,” said Coach Axmann.
