     With an all new varsity squad and a new head coach,  the Holdrege varsity tennis team is gaining experience and learning on the run. Recently, they traveled to York to participate in the York Invitational.

    “I think it was a learning experience for anyone who played,” stated junior Eli Borden.

    Number One Singles Gage Huston went 0 – 5, and Number Two Singles Eli Swanson went 0 – 5. Number One Doubles, Eli Bordon and Trevor Scheele, went 1-4. Number Two Doubles, Parker Hamling and Garrett Ehrenberg went 0 – 5.

“It was hard but I learned some,” stated Garret Ehrenberg

    Their next competition is a dual against the Hastings Tigers at Hasting High School on Thursday, September 13.
