Recently, the cross country girls competed at the McCook Invitational on their hilly golf course  on September 13.

“It was hot and difficult course,” said Jirsie Klein

After a strong run in McCook, the team ended up placing second. Sydney Reed ended up placing third with a time of 21:53. Shortly following was Kenzie Hurlbert taking fifth place with a time of 22:15. Next to follow was Lacy Biltoft placing  eleventh with a time of 24:15. Close behind her was Jirsie Klein with a time of 26:26. Next was Kelsey Belgum with a time of 27:42.

“McCook was our hottest meet yet, and the hills were more than I am used to, but I thought we competed well as a team coming in second,” said Sydney Reed

The girls are training hard to prepare for their next meet in Ogallala on September 20
