Girls’ Cross Country Places Second at Hot & Hilly McCook Invitational

Recently, the cross country girls competed at the McCook Invitational on their hilly golf course on September 13.
“It was hot and difficult course,” said Jirsie Klein
After a strong run in McCook, the team ended up placing second. Sydney Reed ended up placing third with a time of 21:53. Shortly following was Kenzie Hurlbert taking fifth place with a time of 22:15. Next to follow was Lacy Biltoft placing eleventh with a time of 24:15. Close behind her was Jirsie Klein with a time of 26:26. Next was Kelsey Belgum with a time of 27:42.
“McCook was our hottest meet yet, and the hills were more than I am used to, but I thought we competed well as a team coming in second,” said Sydney Reed
