On Thursday, September 13, the Duster softball team took on Gothenburg in a well fought game.

“I thought we played really well as a team and it was fun to see everyone get some good hits,” stated junior Kloey Kirwan.

The Dusters fell short of the victory by one run, losing 10-9 in seven innings. The Dusters didn’t go down without a fight however, scoring multiple runs late in the game, but their rally ended just short of the victory.

“It was really fun to be in a close game and even if we didn’t come out on top, i’m proud of how we played as a team. Everyone made great improvements and it is for sure a step in the right direction,” stated junior Morgan Hein.

The Dusters will be in action on September 20 for senior night versus Grand Island Northwest.
