On September 15th, Holdrege Volleyball team competed in the Central City Invite and placed seventh.

In the first game, the Dusters were defeated by defending Class C-2 State Runner-up Nebraska Christian  25-10; 25;13.

“We don’t come ready until the second, third, or fourth set. We need to bring intensity the first set and I think we would be a lot more successful,” said Alexa Berney.

Playing back to back after the first game, the Dusters had a tough loss to Lexington 25-22; 25-14.

“We need to play every match in increments of five. We always think about win, win, win and we need to think about what’s going on now,” said Taylor Wiser.

In the consolation game, the Dusters took down Boone Central 22-25; 25-21; 27-25.

“The third game, against Boone Central, we finally figured out what the problem was. We amped up the communication and got excited for every ball which got us a winning game. Hopefully we can keep that up through the rest of the season,” said Addy Johnson.
