On Friday, September 14, the Girls’ Varsity Golf team had a meet in Minden against Cambridge, Grand Island Central Catholic, Hastings, Adams Central, and Minden.

They placed second just behind Cambridge with a combined score of 415.

Individually, Emily Gustafson placed first for the Dusters shooting a 94. Keara Miller and Amanda Taylor  were next for the Dusters shooting 99 and 102. Shelby Schmidt, Morgan Fritsche and Hope Anderson shot 120, 149, and 168, respectively for the Dusters.

Amanda Taylor says, “I would say that as a team I think we did all right. There is definitely some room for improvement for everybody. I also know that everybody can have off days when playing so I would not say that I am disappointed on how we did, but I do believe that we can all improve and learn something from how we played on Friday,” said Amanda Taylor.

The next meet  is the Holdrege Invitational  at 9:00 A.M. on Sept. 20.
