Girls’ Cross Country Wins Ogallala Invitational

The Holdrege cross country girls raced to the finish line at the Ogallala Invitational on September 20.
“ I loved the course and was really glad we got to run there once before districts and the girls got their first win as a team,” said Sydney Reed.
After a strong run in Ogallala, the team ended up winning the meet. Kenzie Hurlbert finished second with a time of 20:02. Shortly following was Sydney Reed taking fourth place with a time of 20:22. Next was Lacy Biltoft with a ninth place finish with a time of 21:01. Close behind her was Jirsie Klein ending the race with taking seventeenth place with a time of 21:53, and Kelsey Belgum with a time of 25:22.
“I thought this meet went really well, I’m excited to see what we can do at the Kearney Meet,” said Jirsie Klein.
