The Duster Boys Cross Country team had another successful week to spark the momentum they will need to carry them into the end of the season. The  team headed up to the McCook Invite on September 13 for some tough competition and a hilly course.

Placing second as a team, just behind Sidney, the Dusters scored thirty eight points. Placers in varsity included: Tyler Peterson in second, Caden Erickson in fifth, Grant Engel in fourteenth, Jackson Hilyard in seventeenth, and Coby Anderson in twenty-ninth.

Junior Varsity placers included: Sergio Solache in eighth, Justin Golus in tenth, Brady Van Boening in nineteenth and Brogan Wise in twentieth.

After a good performance at hilly McCook course, the boys headed off to Ogallala to run on September 20. Runners handled the very flat terrain differently, some excelled and raced to the top while others struggled with the change of scenery.

Notably, Tyler Peterson came in first place with a time of 16:53. Just behind him was teammate Caden Erickson coming in second with a time of 16:55. Grant Engel placed sixteenth with a time of 17:44 against this tough competition.

The team again placed second, behind Sidney.
