Girls’ Tennis Team Competes in Various Meets and Duals

The girls Duster tennis team started off their season by competing in a dual against Lexington on March 21. The team played on their home courts and won 7-2. On March 25, the team competed in a dual against Kearney and lost 0-9.

On Monday, April 1, the varsity girls tennis team traveled to North Platte for an invitational. The team placed third out of twelve teams. Number one singles player, Kaylin Brown, and number one doubles players, Mackinley Jensen and Anna Grace Weed, placed third individually.

The varsity girls tennis team traveled to Lexington on April 9th for an invitational. The team tied with North Platte for sixth place. The number one doubles players, Mackinley Jensen and Anna Grace Weed, placed fourth individually and number one singles player, Kaylin Brown, placed seventh.

“I believe this season has been going great so far with all of our hard work and dedication during practices,” says Anna Grace Weed, a junior on the team.

     The girls varsity and JV tennis teams traveled to North Platte on April 16. The Dusters played against North Platte and Hershey teams.

The varsity team played in an invitational at Hastings on April 25. The team placed fourth, with number one singles and doubles placing third individually.
