After a long winter, the Lady Duster Track Team finally got a chance to compete outside at Broken Bow and Gothenburg.
At Broken Bow, the Dusters had absences due to state FFA, but still managed to come away with some placings. Placing for the Dusters in pole vault were Samantha Schemper – 1st, and Carly Janssen – 3rd. In the 1600 meters, Kenzie Hurlbert placed 2nd and Lacy Biltoft placed 5th. Placing 6th in the 800 meters was Jirsie Klein. Jenna Karn placed 4th in the 300 meter hurdles. Ryan Melroy placed 5th in the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter dash, and Addison Johnson placed 5th in shot put. The 4×800 meter relay placed 1st and the 4×400 meter relay placed 5th.
The next week, the Dusters headed to Gothenburg for the Dutch Zorn Invitational. In the 800 meter run, Sydney Reed placed 5th and Kenzie Hurlbert placed 6th. Lacy Biltoft was first in the 1600 meter run and Jessi Klein was 5th in the 3200 meter run. On the sprinters side, Megan Belgum placed 5th and Ryan Melroy placed 6th in the 400 meter dash. Samantha Schemper won pole vault with Sierra Schemper placing 5th and Carly Janssen placing 6th. The 4×800 relay was first, the 4×400 relay was 3rd, and the medley relay came in 5th for the Dusters.
