Despite the windy weather at the Northwest Dave Gee Invitational, the Dusters managed to come away with some good marks and places.

For sprints, Ryan Melroy placed 6th in the 400 meter dash and both the 4×100 meter relay and 4×400 meter relay placed fourth.

On the distance side of things, Sydney Reed placed 2nd in the 800 meter run, and 4th in the 1600 meter run. Kenzie Hurlbert placed 4th in the 800 meter run and 5th in the 1600 meter run, and Jirsie Klein placed 5th in the 800 meter run.

Along with getting themselves ready for their own events, the girls on the track team also find time to cheer on their fellow Dusters.

”My favorite part of the track meet was cheering on my teammates,” said Jirsie Klein.

For field events Samantha Schemper placed 1st in pole vault with Sierra Schemper placing 2nd and Carly Janssen placing 4th.
