Placing third at State Cross Country last season, the Duster girls’ team is aiming for the top this season.

“They want to do the very best they can and try to win state,” said Head Coach Fuehrer.

At the McCook Invite the individual placings were: sophomore Kenzie Hurlbert – third, senior Baylee Barnett – fifth, sophomore Jirsie Klein – seventh, freshman Lacy Biltoft – twenty-first, senior Caylin McCormick – twenty-eighth, and junior Cassidy Newth – thiry-third.

These individual performances led the team to a first place win.

“Despite the distractions, I think everyone ran really well. It was fun to see the shorter distance to see what would happen,” stated Coach Fuehrer, “If the girls run like they can in Ogallala, they should win the meet.”
